Provident Bookstore Grand Opening

Left to right, Karlene Browning, Assistant Manager; Tristi Pinkston, LDS author; Jennie Hansen, LDS author; Nancy Campbell Allen, LDS author.

I stole this pic from Tristi's blog. You must click on the link at the bottom of this post to see all her other cool pictures of the store! And Tristi, thank you for letting me steal this picture. Even though you didn't know I was stealing it. (I figure it's that whole asking-for-forgiveness-than-permission thing).

It was so fun to see friends, if only for a little bit! What a fantastic store. If you are ever in Pleasant Grove, you must stop by. Candy like an old-fashioned store, awesome toys and a great collection of books.

Good stuff!

So, did you think I would tell you no? :)

I love that store. I bought a bunch of those yummy chocolate treats. I'm wishing I didn't eat them all yesterday though. Guess I'll have to go back :)

Tristi, I was shaking in my boots. ;-)

Heather, I seriously wanted to buy one of everything! Candy, candy! And the toys were so great! I wish I had signed earlier, or you later. Would have been fun to cross paths. Sometime soon, I'm sure. :-)

And another thing (since I just left a comment in the It's the Little Things Post)...are you wrestless again? New layout. New color scheme. Side bar flip flop. What's going on here? Did you clean your small little kitchen or did the SUV battery die again?

Laughing, still, Dave. The scheme change is my way of keeping you on your toes. And I've also decided that life is too short to spend it all in one template.

One more thing...

What's with the music? Everytime I stop by here I have to reach for the mute button. Some of the selections are, well, loud. When did you get into the funky jazz music thing?

Oh, come now! Unless I miss my mark entirely, you did not graduate from high school in, say, 1992. That means you ought to have sincere appreciation for late 70s and 80s stuff. Which is largely what this wonderfully eclectic collection is.

And really, who doesn't love a little Van Halen or Def Leppard every now and then? And Sting? What's not to love, I ask you? (Although my husband is a Police purist, hates Sting solo...)

Nickel Creek for me. Green and Gray. This Side. Doubting Thomas. And the very best track? Sweet Afton for sure.
